Hello! I'll combine 2 days into 1 post cos I doubt there would be much time to post after sch reopens ):

Days 7&8

Morning of day 7 was unbelievably cold D: LOL Hahahah there was this whole bunch of mist when we spoke (x Jenny and Chiu were sick D: Jenny even vomited 7 times. Probably cos of Mexican food on day 6 X:

Super famous hot dog shop in L.A.. There're long queues everytime we pass by the stall.


Went to Farmer's Market for lunch. LOL the guide told us there's lotsa food to choose from... NOT (x Singapore's hawker centres rock! :D


WOO! Pressed the coin. Mwahahah I love those press-the-coin thing machines. So fun! :D They are all over the place in U.S.. Wonder why Singapore doesn't have these machines ): Imagine a Merlion or even Esplanade on coins woo!


L.A.'s acting school. It's a public school so it's 100% funded by the gvt. Cool eh?

Hollywood and L.A.'s like 2 different cities. Hollywood is really well-kept, even the trees and beautiful flowers lining the street are imported :O


This is Hollywood Bowl, a natural amphitheatre in Hollywood! :D Many famous people had performed there previously, including Luciano Pavarotti! :D





HELLO HOLLYWOOD! :D





Tiles featuring famous people from the entertainment industry on the streets of Hollywood. The stars actually have to pay for their names to be carved in a star on the tiles. The money goes into maintaining and building facilities in Hollywood. Hahahah there's also a Mickey Mouse tile too. So cute (x

Woo yes this is Kodak Theatre, where they host the Academy Awards :D



After touring the streets of L.A., we went for dinner at a Chinese restaurant. The food there was fantastic :D MeiQi was like "Whoa this restaurant looks familiar. I think I came here with my family the last time." Woo fated.
Oh yea speaking of MeiQi, I never knew Dai Yang Tian lives in MeiQi's semi-d O.O LOL if I'm not wrong, i周刊 even featured her house before. So cool! :D

We woke up at around 5.30 a.m. on day 8. We're so deprived of sleep lor ):

A ride in an American school bus to Wilson High :D







They were really nice to make welcome signs for us (: Haha the school name's wrong though (x





A typical scene in class. The students don't wear school uniforms and the dress code isn't strictly imposed.

Wilson High took a different approach from the other schools. We were attached to buddies in other schools, who led us around the school compound. However, in Wilson High, we were given a map of the school and separated into groups of 4-5. Each group was given a timetable and we were supposed to go to classrooms where the various lessons were held ourselves (: Kinda intimidating but it was pretty fun to get a taste of the U.S. student life (:
Our buddies joined us during lunch and we chatted for a bit. LOL "Sorry we don't know how to speak Singaporean." or "Is Singapore in China?"
After lunch, we gathered in the den for a series of performances that the students prepared.

It was nearly 3p.m. when the school visit ended. We had to rush like mad to the art museum that closed at 6p.m., and the heavy traffic made things worse X:

We actually tried to tour the museum but there was barely enough time plus the galleries were pretty far away from each other. So we gave up after 1/2 an hour and started taking photos of the breathtaking scenery.








OK I can't really remember what we had for dinner. Malay food? err idk. Yay days 7 and 8 are finally done (: Enjoy the remaining days of the holidays everyone! :D
